Three Ways to Support Your Mental Health in May

on

David Perlmutter, MD, a neurologist and fellow of the American College of Nutrition, says that it’s very important to exercise your brain each day to keep your mind engaged.

Keep your mind active by engaging in brain-healthy activities such as these, suggested by Dr. Perlmutter:

  1. Stay curious by learning new activities and skills, and even playing games. Celebrate fun ways to exercise your mind.
  2. Find a brain-stimulating activity you enjoy doing every day such as reading, crossword puzzles or practicing a new language.
  3. Commit to lifelong learning. Make it a point to learn something new each month by attending lectures or enrolling in continuing education classes.
